The Philippines continued its reign at the top of the M7 World Championship, as Aurora Gaming PH swept Indonesian side Alter Ego, 4–0, in a lopsided grand finals series.
Aurora PH delivered another dominant performance on the world stage, sealing the country’s sixth consecutive world title in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and reinforcing the Philippines’ status as the tournament’s benchmark.
Championship Series Most Valuable Player (MVP) Dylan Aaron “Light” Catipon spoke emotionally after the finals, saying he remains driven to achieve even more accolades in MLBB.
“Now that I get [got] the MSC and the World Championship, all I want to do is to get it (World Championship) again and more,” Light said.
Play-by-Play
Light set the pace early in Game 1 and never really let go. Playing Hylos, Light did the dirty work up front—taking hits, forcing fights, and making sure AURORA PH always had room to move.
Light did not need flashy numbers to stand out, but the stats were there anyway: 3/1/10 KDA, 28.1K damage, and 602 GPM.
More than anything, he kept AURORA PH steady as they took the series lead.
Game 2, meanwhile, was slower, with both teams clearly feeling each other out. No one wanted to overcommit early, and it showed—first blood did not come until almost five minutes in.
When it finally did, AURORA PH flipped the switch, picking up three quick kills off the opening.
After that, the game slipped out of reach. AURORA PH controlled the map, won the fights they needed to win, and never gave their opponents a clean way back in.
Their rotations were on point, and every clash seemed to favor them.
Edward Jay Dapadap was the clear standout in Game 2. On Sora, Edward finished with a 7/2/8 KDA, 39.4K damage, and 682 GPM, earning MVP honors as AURORA PH closed things out without much trouble.
By Game 3, AURORA PH were in full control. They jumped out to a 12–2 kill lead just eight minutes in and secured all three Turtles, putting the game firmly in their hands early.
From there, it was about maintaining control. AURORA PH closed out the game in convincing fashion, extending its advantage in the series, 3-0, and reinforcing its status as a strong M7 title contender.
To ease the tension from the high-stakes action, the mid-series break featured special performances by Indonesian singer Stephanie Poetri and girl group No Na, giving fans a brief breather before the competition resumed.
Heading into the fourth match, Aurora PH carried the momentum from the opening three games, once again taking control in the early stages.
The one-sided trend continued as Aurora PH closed out the series with a 4–0 sweep to claim the M7 World Championship title, marking Aurora Gaming PH as the seventh world champion and extending the Philippines’ run to six consecutive championships.
