OPPO partners with Google to redefine personalized mobile AI experiences

OPPO has announced collaboration with Google to enhance personalized and secure mobile AI experiences, introducing new AI-driven features set to launch with the upcoming OPPO Find X9 Series.

The partnership focuses on three key areas—personalized AI capabilities, AI model deployment, and AI privacy—aiming to deliver more intuitive, secure, and user-centered mobile experiences.

“Working closely with partners like Google allows us to integrate next-generation AI experiences that are not only powerful but also highly personalized and secure,” said Kai Tang, President of Software Engineering at OPPO. “Our goal is to provide users with an AI assistant that both truly understands their personal needs and is also worthy of being entrusted with their personal data.”

At the center of this collaboration is Mind Space, an app available on the Find X9 Series designed to help users intuitively capture and organize information. With a simple three-finger swipe, text, images, or web content can be saved into a single hub, where Mind Space automatically categorizes them.

Through its partnership with Google, OPPO has connected Mind Space with Gemini, allowing users to take action directly with their saved content. For instance, travelers can store articles and notes in Mind Space and ask Gemini to create a detailed itinerary based on the saved information—while maintaining control over what Gemini can access.

The Find X9 Series will also integrate Gemini across other OPPO apps, enabling users to share what’s on their screen or camera for assistance, or edit photos through Nano Banana, Gemini’s new AI image-editing model. With Gemini Live, users can receive visual guidance through on-screen highlights, offering real-time help for everyday tasks.

Privacy remains a cornerstone of the collaboration. OPPO and Google’s solution leverages the OPPO AI Private Computing Cloud (PCC) powered by Google Cloud’s confidential computing services, ensuring that sensitive data is processed securely and inaccessible to third parties—including OPPO itself. Features like AI Mind Space, AI Call Summary, and AI Writer operate within this encrypted framework.

The full suite of AI features will debut with the OPPO Find X9 Series and ColorOS 16 on OPPO flagship devices. Buyers of the Find X9 or Find X9 Pro will receive a complimentary three-month subscription to Google AI Pro, which includes advanced Gemini features and 2TB of cloud storage.
