HoYoVerse announces Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2 “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” Release Date and more

Gaming company HoYoVerse has revealed more details for Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2  including the release date for the game which deploys the Obol Squad Faction.

Zenless Zone Zero version 2.2 is titled “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” is set for release September 4 and will introduce two new 5-star characters namely Seed and Orphie & Magus both hailing from the Defense Force’s elite unit as they continue the investigation of the Exaltist remnants that are still lurking underneath the Waifei Peninsula.

In the latest patch, the Defense Force’s intervention led by Major General Lorenz and commanded by Colonel Isolde has thrown the Waifei Peninsula into chaos. The Obol Squad uncovers a long-buried truths and also reveal the hidden stories behind the team member Seed.

Seed is the S-Rank Electric Attack Agent that comes with a mech called Seed Sr, a formidable partner with overwhelming firepower and suppression capabilities. Seed is also an excellent agent that is perfect in synergizing with other Attack-type agents and help enhance their sustained damage output.

ZZZ Version 2.2 will also introduce players to the S-Rank Fire Attack Agent Orphie & Magus and who also happens to be Obol Squad’s captain. She excels in coordinated team combat using powerful lasers. She also has the EX Special Attack that is designed to assist allies. Orphie can also collect Bottled Heat and place all squad members into the Zeroed In state upon hitting enemies.

Players can also get the chance to pull a new S-Rank Bangboo called Mercury. This new Bangboo works like a tank as a combat support for players that comes in handy in exploring the story.

Other agents returning for a special banner along with Seed and Orphie & Magus are the S-Rank Electric Stun Agent Trigger and S-Rank Fire Attack Agent Evelyn. Soldier 0 – Anby is currently undergoing intensive training, and Proxies can expect her to return even stronger with her activated potential in future versions.

ZZZ Version 2.2 Events

Expect some new and exciting events coming with the release of Zenless Zone Zero including Band of Brave Bangboo, the game’s Bangboo tower defense which will get new maps, enemies and mechanics which will include Miasmic environment and bushes. Players who successfully clear the stage will be rewarded with the A-Rank Bangboo Excaliboo. This Bangboo will attempt to draw his holy sword before attacking — success results in powerful sword strikes, while failure leads to determined hammer attacks against opponents. For lighter entertainment, the Rhythm Rave event challenges Proxies to sync beats with classic tracks and earn abundant in-game rewards.

Players can also expect continuous optimizations to improve player experience. One example is that Proxies can now toggle between Belle or Wise before setting off on a companion event such as Quality Time invites.
