Global tech company pushes for scalable, energy-efficient data centers amid AI surge

By San Matildo

Global energy management and automation leader Schneider Electric, the global leader in digital energy management and automation, is urging the development of more sustainable and efficient data center infrastructure in the Philippines, as the country’s rapid digital transformation and growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) continue to fuel demand for high-density computing facilities.

At its Innovation Day Philippines 2025, the company unveiled its next-generation EcoStruxure™ Data Center Solutions, including modular and liquid-cooled systems designed to support high-performance AI workloads.

Schneider also announced a global partnership with NVIDIA to
co-develop power, cooling, controls, and rack systems for AI-driven data centers.

The surge in AI and cloud services is putting additional pressure on the Philippines’ power infrastructure. Schneider Electric’s new EcoStruxure Pod and Rack Solutions are built to address this challenge, offering support for high-density clusters of up to 120 kilowatts per rack and equipped with advanced liquid and air cooling systems to manage dense thermal loads.

The solutions also feature grid-ready power systems with AI-tolerant uninterruptible power supply technology and real-time monitoring through Schneider’s integrated software platforms.

“Schneider Electric and NVIDIA are not just partners — our teams are driving advanced R&D, co-developing the infrastructure needed to power the next wave of AI factories globally,” said Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric. “Together, we’ve seen tremendous success in deploying next-generation power and liquid cooling solutions, purpose-built for AI data centers. This strategic partnership — bringing together the world leaders in sustainability and accelerated computing — allows us to further accelerate this momentum, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for the AI workloads of tomorrow.”

For the Philippines, Schneider Electric’s next-generation solutions aim to help operators and developers build sustainable, future-ready data centers capable of handling the power-intensive demands of AI while reducing risks and boosting efficiency. With decades of global expertise, Schneider Electric is working with local stakeholders to strengthen the country’s digital backbone, ensuring that sustainability and resiliency remain at the heart of its data infrastructure strategy.
