The Women in Security Alliance Philippines (WiSAP) and the Philippines CIO Association (PCIOA) have collaborated with the Philippine S&T Development Foundation – Manila, Inc. (PhilDev IT Foundation) to champion a shared mission: empowering Filipino talent through cybersecurity awareness, innovation, and technopreneurship.
“This partnership reflects our shared belief that the future of cybersecurity and innovation must be inclusive—and anchored in strong ethical leadership,” said Mel Migriño, Chair of WiSAP and PCIOA and a key figure in shaping national cybersecurity initiatives.
Through this collaboration, the three organizations aim to co-develop and implement nationwide campaigns and training programs centered on cybersecurity, digital risk management, and inclusive innovation.
They will tap into their respective communities of experts to mentor emerging talent, foster public awareness, and help equip young and diverse individuals with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy.
Special focus will also be given to initiatives led by the Women and Youth in Technology Chapter of PCIOA, with the goal of nurturing the next generation of digital leaders and technopreneurs across the country.
PhilDev is a leading non-profit dedicated to building a globally competitive Philippine economy through science, technology, and innovation, and has consistently promoted access to quality education and entrepreneurial opportunities.
On the other hand, WiSAP, a non-profit organization empowering women in the cyber ecosystem, officially recognized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Cybersecurity Bureau (DICT-CB) as the Philippine representative to the Southeast Asia Cybersecurity Consortium (SEACC), advocates for stronger representation of women and youth in cybersecurity and digital risk leadership.
Meanwhile, PCIOA, the country’s exclusive affiliate to the ASEAN CIO Association, brings together private sector technology leaders to drive digital governance and forward-looking innovation.
“We believe in the power of collaboration—combining strengths in science and technology, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and governance—to build a resilient and innovation-driven Philippines,” Migriño said.
“Together, PhilDev, WiSAP, and PCIOA are helping ensure that the Philippines and the wider Southeast Asian region are not only digitally connected, but also digitally secure, inclusive, and future-ready,” Migriño concluded.
