MANILA, 22 April 2025 – Leading global travel service provider Trip.com Group has been recognised by Philippine Airlines (PAL) at its annual PAL Awards, clinching the top spots for the Top Performer Award and the Chairman’s Circle Club Award categories. These accolades in both categories underscore the Group’s exceptional performance and close partnership with the flag carrier of the Philippines.

The Top Performer Award highlights Trip.com Group as a leading online travel agency partner, recognising its outstanding sales contributions and customer service excellence. The Chairman’s Circle Club Award, one of PAL’s highest honours, is awarded to top-performing partners across all sales channels – marking Trip.com Group as a standout in the travel industry at large.

Mr CT Ooi, Associate Vice President, Trip.com Group, said: “We are incredibly honoured to be recognised by Philippine Airlines with not just one, but two prestigious awards. These accolades are a testament to the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to delivering seamless, world-class travel experiences for customers. We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration with PAL as we connect more travellers to and from the Philippines.”

Capt. Stanley K. Ng, President and Chief Operating Officer, Philippine Airlines, added: “Trip.com Group has consistently demonstrated excellence in driving bookings and supporting our mission to bring the warmth of Filipino hospitality to the skies. Their innovative approach and strong engagement with customers have made them an invaluable partner. We are delighted to celebrate their achievements through these awards.”

In 2024, flight bookings on the Trip.com Philippines site grew dramatically by over 300% compared to the year before, with the most popular destinations from the Philippines being mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and Korea. With PAL recently restarting direct flights between Manila and Beijing, travel between China and the Philippines is expected to grow further this year. Vietnam, also a favoured destination for Filipinos, is similarly set to grow in popularity with flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City set to commence in May 2025, followed by Manila-Da Nang flights in July 2025.
