Gogolook and Whoscall recognized by CICC for its effort on boosting Filipinos’ online safety

Gogolook, a global leader in anti scam application, was recently recognized by the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center (CICC) for its efforts in helping strengthen the country’s cybersecurity.

In her remarks, Mel Migriño, Philippines Country Head of Gogolook, expressed her gratitude to the CICC for acknowledging their work in enhancing online security, particularly for individual Filipino internet users.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized by the government, especially the CICC, for our contributions to the national cybersecurity programs,” Migriño said.

“This recognition fuels our commitment to safeguard the digital identities and online activities of the Filipinos and ensure a secure future for both businesses and citizens. Together, we will continue to innovate and reinforce our defense against cyber scams,” she added.

The recognition highlights Gogolook’s involvement in CICC’s campaigns against online scams and fraud. 

Through joint efforts like online initiatives, caravans, and roadshows, Gogolook has shared data on scams collected via its Whoscall app, and has shared its expertise and data on global trends.

This acknowledgment also highlights Gogolook’s efforts to make Whoscall, a digital anti-scam application aimed at enhancing users’ online safety, accessible to all Filipinos.

CICC Executive Director Usec. Alexander Ramos expressed gratitude to Gogolook and other private sector partners for assisting the government in strengthening the Philippines’ cyberspace.

“We commend the private sector for its outstanding efforts in bolstering our nation’s cybersecurity. Their dedication to protecting our digital landscape has been instrumental in safeguarding critical infrastructure and the personal information of millions,” Ramos said.

“We look forward to continued collaboration as we work together to fortify our country’s defenses against evolving cyber threats,” he added.
