Whoscall has launched its “Di Lahat Dinededma” campaign, encouraging Filipinos to identify unfamiliar callers rather than automatically ignoring calls that could lead to important opportunities or services.
Launched on September 25, the campaign highlights a common dilemma among mobile phone users: an unknown number could belong to a scammer, but it could also be a recruiter offering a job interview, a delivery rider or a healthcare provider confirming an appointment.
Built around the messages “Minsan scammer. Minsan hindi” and “Know who’s calling,” the campaign promotes caller identification as a way to help users distinguish legitimate calls from potential scams.
“We partnered with GIGIL to bring digital safety and scam awareness closer to everyday lives of Filipinos. Through relatable stories, we want mobile users at the grassroots to feel confident about protecting themselves without missing calls and texts that could lead to a job, an essential service, and life’s milestones,” said Mel Migriño, Country Head and General Manager of Gogolook Philippines.
Migriño said the campaign aims to make vigilance an informed habit by giving Filipinos the information they need to stay safe while remaining connected to important opportunities and services.
Scam calls decline, but risks remain
According to Whoscall’s 2025 Philippines Scam Report, the anti-scam application recorded 477,302 scam calls nationwide in 2025, down 21.84 percent from 610,688 in 2024.
Despite the decline, Whoscall reported that scammers have increasingly used call-based schemes impersonating banks and credit card issuers.

The findings highlight the need for mobile users to remain cautious without assuming that every unfamiliar number is fraudulent.
Through its Caller ID feature, Whoscall identifies unknown callers and flags numbers associated with potential spam or scams, providing users with additional information before they decide whether to answer.
The application also offers tools to help users assess suspicious messages, links and online content.
However, caller identification alone does not guarantee that a call is legitimate. Users should continue verifying requests for personal information, account credentials or payments directly with the organizations concerned through official channels.
Staying safe without missing opportunities
Whoscall aims to make scam awareness more relatable by highlighting situations in which ignoring an unfamiliar number could mean missing an important call.
For job seekers, it could be an employer scheduling an interview. For other mobile users, it could be a delivery rider, a healthcare provider or a service representative following up on an important transaction.
The campaign encourages Filipinos to make informed decisions about unfamiliar calls and messages instead of automatically dismissing them.
Developed by Gogolook, Whoscall continues to work with government agencies and private-sector partners to promote scam awareness and digital safety in the Philippines.
The application is available for free on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. More information is available at Whoscall’s official website.
