The Philippine Chief Information Officers Association (PCIOA) has formalized its partnership with TechWatch PH, positioning the media platform as one of the first channel for the technology community to amplify conversations on emerging technologies, regulation, and cross-sector collaboration.
The collaboration highlights a shared effort to strengthen the voice of industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers as the country’s digital ecosystem continues to expand.
PCIOA Chairperson and Chief Executive Mel Migriño emphasized that while organizations continue to adopt new technologies, leadership must remain grounded in purpose and accountability.
“We often talk about digital transformation, Gen AI, and even blockchain as if these are the destination we are heading toward. But as leaders, we know these are not the only imperatives when we reach the finish line,” she said.
She noted that beyond innovation, there is a growing need to create spaces where meaningful dialogue can take place—linking technology with governance and real-world impact.
From the media side, Art Samaniego, CEO and Editor-in-Tech of TechWatch PH, framed the partnership as an opportunity to elevate the role of the platform within the tech ecosystem.
“TechWatch PH is not just a media outlet—we are a platform for the tech community. Through this partnership, we aim to amplify voices on emerging technologies, surface critical discussions on regulation, and highlight collaborations that move the industry forward,” he said.
Under the partnership, both organizations will co-develop programs aimed at educating technology and business communities on emerging technologies, while also addressing online harms such as scams and fraud.
The collaboration will also support efforts to strengthen the national ecosystem for emerging technologies, leadership development, and inclusive digital transformation.
As part of its initial phase, the partnership will focus on identifying areas of strategic alignment, piloting joint initiatives, and building a foundation for long-term engagement.
By aligning PCIOA’s network with TechWatch PH’s reach, the initiative aims to foster informed discourse—ensuring that innovation is matched with accountability and that the voices shaping the digital future are heard.
