Gogolook, the world’s leading TrustTech company, has joined the ScamSafe Project of the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), reinforcing a coordinated push to protect Filipinos from increasingly sophisticated scams.

Gogolook Philippine General Manager and Country Head Mel Migriño said the company’s participation reflects more than a decade of experience in the anti-scam space, with a long-term goal of strengthening digital confidence among users—whether they are making financial transactions, communicating on social media, or using digital tools for work.

“For more than a decade, Gogolook has brought passion and proven expertise to the anti-scam industry, with the goal of empowering every digital user to transact, connect, and work online with greater confidence,” Migriño said.

“As we continue to embrace the digital age, threat actors—especially scammers—are also evolving their tactics. Scams are scaling faster and becoming more realistic, making them harder to detect. This is why a nationwide, multi-front initiative to fight scams has become a key imperative,” he added.

As digital adoption accelerates, the company noted that scammers are increasingly using advanced tactics and artificial intelligence to make fraudulent schemes faster to spread and more difficult to identify.

Under the ScamSafe Project, the focus shifts from responding after a scam has already occurred to identifying threats early and acting proactively. Central to the initiative is encouraging the public to pause, verify, and report suspicious messages, links, or phone calls by asking a simple but critical question: “Scam ba ito?”

As part of its support, Gogolook is integrating its Anti-Scam Intelligence API with the CICC’s systems, enabling customer service representatives to quickly assess the risk profile of phone numbers and URLs. The company is also providing free access to Whoscall, its global anti-scam application, Premium Basic to all callers of the CICC hotline 1326, with no limit on the number of licenses, to help strengthen scam detection and digital protection nationwide.

“The ScamSafe Project provides an accessible platform where the public can easily report suspicious activities, raise awareness about common scamming tactics, and gain the knowledge needed to protect not only themselves but also their communities,” said CICC Acting Executive Director Aboy Paraiso. “More importantly, it encourages every Filipino to stay vigilant, verify before acting, and take part in building a safer digital space for everyone.”

Gogolook will further support the CICC by granting access to its global scam database, which contains billions of data points on fraudulent phone numbers and malicious URLs. The company will also co-promote the ScamSafe Project through online awareness initiatives and on-the-ground campaigns.

The partnership underscores a shared commitment between the public and private sectors to confront the growing threat of digital fraud. Gogolook said it remains a strategic partner of the CICC in building a safer digital environment and protecting Filipinos’ hard-earned money and peace of mind as the country continues its journey toward a more connected digital nation.
