iPhone 18 Pro series hits Philippine market with midnight launch in BGC
Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max officially hit the Philippine market on Friday, Oct. 16, with Globe Telecom holding a midnight launch at Globe Iconic, Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), where customers lined up to secure the latest flagship smartphones.
Among the first to purchase the new device was Jessie Valenzuela, who secured an iPhone 18 Pro during the launch, becoming Globe’s first buyer of the new series at the event.
Valenzuela, a longtime iPhone user, said the camera was the feature he was most excited about.
βMostly camera talaga yung pinaka-the best sa ‘kin,β Valenzuela said.
He also expressed his loyalty to Globe, saying he had been using iPhones since the iPhone 5 generation and continued to choose the telecommunications provider for its services.
Meanwhile, Globe Consumer Mobile Postpaid Head Jo Anne Illescas said the iPhone 18 Pro Max remains the model that typically attracts the strongest customer demand, despite its higher price.
Illescas attributed this preference to Filipino consumers’ interest in larger smartphones and premium features, including improved cameras and battery performance.
To make the new iPhone models more accessible, Globe is offering GPlan with Device, which provides handset subsidies, alongside discounted device options for eligible SIM-only subscribers.
βThere are flexible payment options to make it more affordable and accessible,β Illescas said.
Customers can also avail themselves of credit card installments of up to 24 months, financing arrangements, and trade-in offers that provide bill credits in exchange for older devices.
Globe is also offering additional data benefits for eligible subscribers under GPlan 1799 and higher, including an extra 5GB of data and unlimited 5G access for 24 months.
Existing subscribers may also qualify for early renewal, while customers enrolled in eligible Platinum plans can upgrade their devices annually through Globe’s iPhone Forever program.
The iPhone 18 Pro series enters the Philippine market as telecommunications providers compete to attract customers through handset subsidies, installment options, and bundled connectivity services.
