Globe has launched Globe Scam Protect, a new customer benefit powered by Whoscall that gives eligible subscribers access to tools designed to help identify suspicious calls, messages, links, websites, and other potential digital threats.
Through the service, eligible Globe customers can access Whoscall Premium Basic, which includes suspicious call and message screening, link verification, data leak monitoring, and scam alerts.
Globe said the service taps Whoscall’s scam intelligence database to provide users with additional information before they decide whether to answer unfamiliar calls, respond to messages, or open potentially suspicious links.
Whoscall has recorded more than 2.2 million installs in the Philippines since its launch in the country in 2023, according to Globe.
βDigital safety has become part of everyday life, and our customers deserve protection that is simple, practical, and always on,β said Eric Tanbauco, Head of Globeβs Consumer Mobile Business.
βWith Globe Scam Protect, we are making real-time scam defense more accessible so customers can stay a step ahead of threats and focus on what matters most, staying connected with confidence,β he added.
Who can get Scam Protect
Eligible customers can redeem Whoscall Premium Basic Individual subscriptions through Globe Rewards.
Globe Platinum customers can get a free 12-month subscription covering two devices, while Globe Postpaid customers can receive a free 12-month subscription for one device.
Globe Prepaid and TM customers, meanwhile, can redeem a free one-month subscription for one device using two Globe Rewards points.
New and renewing Globe Postpaid and Platinum customers can access the offer through the voucher pocket in the GlobeOne app, where they can claim and redeem their Whoscall voucher.
Once activated, Whoscall Premium Basic provides access to its scam protection features as well as scam education tools intended to help users develop safer online habits.
Globe said Scam Protect forms part of its broader efforts to protect subscribers against scams and other online threats as fraud increasingly reaches users across multiple digital channels.
