Globe receives NTC show cause order says it will respond within prescribed period

Globe Telecom confirmed Monday evening that it has received a copy of the show cause order from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) over mobile broadband service deficiencies.
βWe only received a copy of the show cause order tonight. We shall study it and we shall respond to it in the period so provided,β Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto said in a WhatsApp message to TechWatchPH at 7:30 p.m.
The NTC earlier announced a P100,000 daily penalty against telecommunications companies over unresolved mobile broadband service deficiencies.

Crisanto earlier cited Globeβs August 2026 Telco Report Card from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), which showed improvements in the companyβs network performance.

Globe posted its highest overall score for the year at 81.5 and received an overall βGoodβ rating in the DICT report.
Globeβs average download speed reached 45.9 Mbps in August, up 26 percent from 36.5 Mbps in January. Network quality improved to 71.2, while latency remained at 20 milliseconds.

The August results marked Globeβs strongest performance so far in 2026 based on the DICT report.
