DITO launches GameZone, rolls out ₱99 gaming pack with data, in-game rewards
DITO Telecommunity is making a calculated push into the country’s fast-growing mobile gaming space with the launch of DITO GameZone, a new line of prepaid offers designed to align connectivity with actual gameplay needs.
Headlining the rollout is GameZone99, a ₱99 prepaid pack that bundles mobile data, in-game currency, and unlimited calls and texts, positioning itself as more than just a traditional telco data offer.
GameZone99 includes 10GB of total data, split into 5GB all-access and 5GB dedicated gaming data optimized for titles such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings, and PUBG Mobile. The pack also comes with 11 Mobile Legends Diamonds, giving users immediate in-game value on top of connectivity, alongside unlimited calls and texts to all networks and a 15-day validity period. DITO also includes data rollover for the all-access portion, extending usability beyond the standard cycle.
The move reflects how telcos are beginning to rethink prepaid bundles, shifting from pure data allocation toward ecosystem-driven offers that combine connectivity with digital services and content. In this case, DITO is directly tying its prepaid product to gaming behavior, where users require stable connections, low latency, and constant communication during multiplayer sessions.
The timing is strategic. The Philippines continues to be a mobile-first gaming market, with an estimated 67.7 million Filipinos playing games, the majority on smartphones. This creates a strong use case for network-specific gaming bundles that go beyond generic data promos.
By integrating in-game rewards such as Mobile Legends Diamonds into its prepaid offer, DITO is also tapping into a key monetization layer in gaming—microtransactions—effectively lowering the barrier for users to engage more deeply with their games.
GameZone99 has been available since February 5, 2026, and can be accessed through the DITO App, official website, and authorized retail channels.
With GameZone, DITO is signaling a broader shift in how telco products are packaged: not just as connectivity tools, but as entry points into specific digital lifestyles—starting with gaming.
