Globe Business, Confluent partner to bring real-time data streaming and enterprise AI to PH firms
- Globe
Globe Business is deepening its push into enterprise digital transformation through a new partnership with Confluent, aiming to equip Philippine companies with real-time data streaming capabilities designed to power artificial intelligence and next-generation digital services.
The collaboration introduces a fully managed, enterprise-grade data streaming platform to local organizations, moving them beyond static and siloed data systems toward real-time intelligence.
Through the alliance, Globe Business will deliver Confluent’s platform—including Apache Kafka and Apache Flink—as a turnkey managed service running on Globe’s local Virtual Private Cloud. The setup is positioned to help enterprises modernize internal systems while maintaining compliance with local regulatory requirements.
“As a Managed Service Provider, Globe Business removes the barriers to advanced data architecture,” said KD Dizon, Vice President and Head of Globe Business. He added that the partnership forms part of Globe’s broader effort to build what he described as the digital backbone of a future-ready nation, enabling enterprises to innovate at scale and respond to customers in real time.
The move comes as digital transactions continue to dominate the Philippine landscape. Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas shows that digital retail payments now account for 57.4 percent of total transaction volume, underscoring the need for systems capable of processing data the moment it is generated. Real-time data streaming supports use cases such as instant fraud detection in financial services and personalized engagement in retail, where timing can directly impact customer experience and trust.
Confluent cited regional research indicating that 58 percent of organizations in Asia-Pacific see data streaming as a key enabler of AI initiatives. By feeding AI models with live enterprise data, companies can move from reactive analytics to predictive and automated decision-making, often referred to as agentic AI.
“Our collaboration with Globe Business gives enterprises in the Philippines access to the same real-time data capabilities used by the world’s most demanding digital-first organizations,” said Kamal Brar, Senior Vice President of Global ISV at Confluent. He noted that running the platform on Globe’s secure local cloud infrastructure provides businesses with a trusted environment to build AI-driven services while meeting compliance requirements.
Globe said the new offering integrates with its Premium Cloud Connect, allowing enterprises to link private and public cloud environments into a unified architecture. The goal, according to the company, is to help Filipino enterprises reduce complexity, lower operational costs, and build scalable data strategies that support long-term digital competitiveness.
As enterprise AI adoption accelerates, the partnership signals a growing recognition that real-time data infrastructure is no longer optional but foundational to delivering responsive, intelligent digital experiences in the Philippine market.
