The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has made available the TESDA Skills Passport, a mobile application designed to help Filipinos move seamlessly from learning to skills and, ultimately, to jobs through a single digital platform.
“Patuloy naming sisiguruhin na may sapat na pondo ang edukasyon. Palalakasin din namin ang pagsulong ng skills development ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino,” President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said.
(We will continue to ensure that education is adequately funded. We will also strengthen efforts to advance the skills development of every Filipino citizen.)
“Pag-aaral, pakikipag-usap, pati trabaho, digital na. Kaya’t gagamitin natin ang teknolohiya at ang pagkakataong ito upang makasabay sa takbo ng panahon at mapalawak pa ang oportunidad para sa ating mga kababayan,” Marcos added.
(Education, communication, and even work have gone digital. That is why we will use technology and seize this opportunity to keep pace with the times and further expand opportunities for our people.)
The Skills Passport serves as a digital ID and portfolio that consolidates a user’s training records, national certificates, scholarships, and employment opportunities in one secure system. It allows TESDA learners, graduates, and workers to document and showcase verified competencies while making it easier to plan further training or apply for jobs aligned with their skills.
Inside the app, users can access their Digital Skills Passport, which displays verified TESDA certificates and training history.
It also features scholarship and training credits that show available programs users may apply for, a training map that helps locate TESDA-accredited centers nearby, and learning pathways that guide users in planning upskilling or their next certification. A built-in job matching feature connects users to employment opportunities based on their documented skills, while an AI assistant is available to answer questions and provide guidance at any time.
The app is designed to reduce paperwork and repeated submissions often required when applying separately for training, scholarships, and jobs. With records stored digitally, users no longer need to repeatedly present physical certificates or re-submit the same documents, making the process faster and more efficient.
For jobseekers and workers, the platform allows employers and partner institutions to easily recognize verified TESDA credentials, helping skills “speak for themselves.”
The app also recommends relevant training programs for better-paying jobs and provides real-time access to job listings matched to a user’s profile.
Data security and credibility are built into the system. The Skills Passport includes identity verification and privacy protection measures, including validation through PhilSys, to help ensure that personal information and certificates are authentic, secure, and trusted by employers.
TESDA said the Skills Passport is intended to make skills development more accessible and practical by connecting training, credentials, and employment opportunities in one platform, supporting Filipinos as they navigate education, upskilling, and work in an increasingly digital labor market.
