The Women in Security Alliance Philippines (WiSAP) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Analytics Association of the Philippines, Inc. (AAP) to advance the responsible, secure, and ethical use of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) nationwide.

Formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MOU), the collaboration positions WiSAP at the forefront of efforts to strengthen digital risk awareness, cybersecurity resilience, data privacy, and AI governance as emerging technologies continue to accelerate across industries.

Under the agreement, WiSAP and AAP will collaborate on events, research, training programs, and advocacy initiatives focused on cybersecurity, digital risks, data protection, and ethical AI.

The partnership also enables joint public engagements, including expert speaking roles and resource participation in each organization’s activities, while promoting continuous knowledge exchange and cross-sector learning.

WiSAP Chief Executive Mel Migriño said the partnership reflects the urgent need for smarter, more anticipatory defenses in an AI-driven era. “In the age of AI, defense must be as intelligent as the threat. This collaboration between WiSAP and AAP is a unified front against digital risks. By pooling our expertise in cybersecurity, data ethics, and AI governance, we move from reaction to proactive anticipation, equipping our communities with the knowledge needed to secure tomorrow’s technology today,” Migriño said.

AAP President Michelle Alarcon underscored the shared responsibility of both organizations in ensuring innovation is grounded in trust and accountability.

“The partnership between AAP and WiSAP aims to advance the responsible, secure, and ethical use of data, analytics, and AI across the Philippines while strengthening digital risk awareness, cybersecurity, and data privacy practices. Through this partnership, both organizations commit to collaborating on events, research, training, advocacy, and knowledge-sharing to support their shared missions and enhance cross-sector learning,” Alarcon said.

Through this alliance, WiSAP reinforces its role as a leading advocate for cybersecurity leadership, ethical technology use, and inclusive security discourse, while working alongside AAP to help build a more resilient, trusted, and future-ready digital ecosystem for the Philippines.
