Mel Migriño, Country Head and General Manager of Gogolook Philippines, has been recognized on the regional stage after receiving the “Asia’s Leader of Influence and Impact in Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Digital Trust” award at the Asia Pinnacle Awards 2025, held recently at Okada Manila.
The award honors Migriño’s sustained work in strengthening the Philippines’ cyber resilience through community-building, cross-sector partnerships, and advocacy-driven leadership.
As the driving force behind the growth of Gogolook’s Whoscall community in the country, she has helped expand its nationwide presence while strengthening the company’s local business, supporting partnerships that advance scam prevention, identity protection, and consumer digital safety initiatives.
“This recognition belongs to the entire cybersecurity community we have built in the Philippines — from our partners in government and the private sector to the educators, students, and advocates who choose to protect people before profits,” Migriño said. “Through Whoscall, WiSAP, and our work with GASA Philippines, our goal has always been clear: to help Filipinos stay safe online while raising a new generation of cyber leaders who believe in trust, responsibility, and the ethical use of technology and AI.”
Under her leadership, Gogolook Philippines has built a growing network of collaborations across both the public and private sectors, working alongside government agencies, telecom firms, financial institutions, and consumer groups to deepen awareness campaigns and promote coordinated action against online fraud and cyber threats.
Beyond corporate leadership, Migriño serves as President of the Women in Security Alliance Philippines (WiSAP), where she leads programs that mentor emerging tech and cybersecurity leaders, with a special focus on empowering women and youth.
These efforts include educational talks, training sessions, and community forums designed to build cybersecurity skills while promoting the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
She is also the Vice Chair of the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) Philippines, a role that further supports her advocacy for stronger reporting mechanisms, regional cooperation, and industry-wide standards to protect consumers from digital crimes.
