The Women in Security Alliance Philippines (WiSAP), a non-profit organization that empower women in the cyber ecosystem has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) Philippine Chapter, marking a major step forward in the groups’ shared mission to fight scams and promote digital literacy across the country.
The partnership empowers WISAP’s “Juanatech — No Juana Left Behind Digital Literacy ” program, expanding its reach to more communities and ensuring women, youth, and underserved sectors gain practical knowledge on identifying scams, securing their data, and navigating the digital world safely.
As part of the agreement, WiSAP will support GASA-led events across the regions, helping bring enriched insights on scam trends, modus operandi, and real-world cases directly to business enterprises and community groups.
With its strong network of cybersecurity professionals, WiSAP will also integrate GASA’s frontline scam-experience knowledge into its own learning initiatives, creating programs that are more cohesive, community-centric, and relevant to everyday digital risks.
WiSAP Trustee and VP for Operations Justin Co said the partnership reflects their commitment to protecting Filipino communities in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
“Partnering with Scam Watch PH as a community convenor and now joining GASA as an association member allows WiSAP to deepen its role in the country’s anti-scam movement,” Co said.
“We can bring our cybersecurity expertise closer to communities, strengthen grassroots education, and help more Filipinos understand the real risks they face online. Through these partnerships, we are not just raising awareness — we are building a united front that empowers every Filipino to stay safe in the digital world,” she added.
Both organizations emphasized that the collaboration is only the beginning of a long-term effort to raise digital literacy, strengthen cyber resilience, and build a safer online environment for all Filipinos.
