Now on its eighth year, the free-for-all conference will spotlight the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and other emerging technologies in shaping both opportunities and risks in cyberspace. The event aims to strengthen the industry’s collective resilience against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

β€œAt the heart of every DECODE conference is a commitment to address the critical cybersecurity skills gap that continues to widen globally and locally. By demystifying or “decoding” complex threats, showcasing emerging industry trends, and introducing cutting-edge technologies, DECODE empowers attendees with the knowledge and practical skills needed to protect their organizations,” shared Alma Saturnino-Alvarez, Threat Hunting Director of Trend Micro.

Since its launch in 2017, DECODE has attracted an average of 1,000 participants annually, becoming one of the most relevant cybersecurity gatherings in the country. The conference is part of Trend Micro’s global mission #EngineeredToDoGood, serving as a platform for learning, dialogue, and skills-building among IT professionals, business leaders, and government stakeholders.

This year’s keynote speaker is David Sancho, Senior Threat Researcher at Trend Micro, who will discuss how the global cybercriminal underground has rapidly evolved from 2024 to 2025, and how the cybersecurity industry is responding to stay ahead of these threats.
Other featured sessions include Automotive AI Security by Numaan Huq, Senior Threat Researcher, and Language and Cybercrime by Stephen Hilt, Senior Threat Researcher.

The conference will also host specialized discussions on Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), cyberthreat intelligence, and AI-driven security, led by experts with experience in Interpol, Europol, and the U.S. Department of Defense.

DECODE 2025 will also highlight β€œGet IT Girl”, a program featuring leading women in tech, as well as live demonstrations from automotive cybersecurity partner VicOne. The annual Capture the Flag competition will cap the event, giving participants hands-on opportunities to apply their newly gained skills.

With its mix of global expertise and local relevance, DECODE continues to cement its position as the premier cybersecurity conference in the Philippines.
