Scheduled for November 10 to 12 at Sinag Hall, Okada Manila, the three-day event will showcase local wares, woven products, and traditional crafts from across ASEAN under the theme “Way of the Weave,” connecting trade, technology, and culture.
As digital partners of the expo, WiSAP and PCIOA will highlight the importance of digital innovation, cybersecurity awareness, and collaboration in building a more connected and secure ASEAN business environment.
WiSAP will focus on website design and strengthening the resilience and security of the event's digital platform while PCIOA will develop the artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm and dashboard for the expo's business matching program.
Mel Migriño, Chairman and President of WiSAP and PCIOA and Council President for Women in Tech of the ASEAN CXO Association, the parent affiliate of PCIOA, highlighted how the two organizations will leverage artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to facilitate business matching, strengthen digital infrastructure, and support secure regional trade at ASEAN Trade Expo 2026.
“Technology plays an important role in connecting businesses and creating new opportunities across ASEAN. Through PCIOA, we are developing an AI-powered business matching algorithm and dashboard that will help participating enterprises identify potential partners and build meaningful connections. At the same time, WiSAP is working on the website design and strengthening the resilience and security of the expo's digital platform,” Migriño said.
“By integrating artificial intelligence and cybersecurity into ASEAN Trade Expo 2026, we want to demonstrate how technology can support regional trade while ensuring that digital platforms remain secure, reliable, and accessible to businesses,” she added.
PCIOA brings together chief information officers and technology leaders who promote digital innovation and transformation across the Philippines.
The association's participation places emphasis on the role of technology leadership in helping businesses adopt digital solutions, improve operations, and respond to the evolving demands of regional trade.
Its development of the AI-powered business matching system is intended to help participating businesses identify potential partners and explore opportunities for regional collaboration.
Meanwhile, WiSAP focuses on empowering women in the cybersecurity sector, promoting greater participation in technology leadership, and strengthening digital trust.
Its involvement highlights the need to protect digital transactions, information systems, and business networks as more enterprises pursue opportunities beyond national borders.
WiSAP will also contribute to the expo's digital infrastructure through website design and efforts to strengthen the platform's resilience.
Camille Toledo, Executive Committee Member of Women in Tech PCIOA, and Luigi Longanilla, Operations Support Manager of WiSAP, also played key roles in supporting the development and implementation of the organizations’ initiatives for ASEAN Trade Expo 2026.
ASEAN Trade Expo 2026 Overall Chair Rosemarie Rafael is expected to share the event's broader vision for connecting businesses, industries, and technology stakeholders across the region.
“The expo is about more than textiles, handicrafts, or transactions. It recognizes cultural heritage while creating economic opportunities for those who preserve it, ensuring that skills passed down through generations can sustain the next. ASEAN members may have different languages, histories, and traditions, but share an aspiration for inclusive growth and a future where every community can prosper. When a woman works, she strengthens her family and community. When ASEAN women work together, they strengthen the region. May this gathering renew our pride in our heritage and solidarity in our shared future. Let us be proud Filipinos, celebrating what makes us distinct and unites us. Like the finest weave, our future is stronger when every thread has a place,” Ms. Rafael said.
With PCIOA and WiSAP joining as digital partners, the event will also draw attention to the relationship between digital innovation, cybersecurity, and regional economic connectivity.
ASEAN Trade Expo 2026 is recognized as an ASEAN-related event.
