The eGovPH ecosystem of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has won an international innovation award for making government services more accessible to Filipinos through digital platforms that reduce paperwork, simplify transactions and minimize the need to visit government offices.

eGovPH received a Bronze Stevie Award in the Public Administration and Governance Innovation of the Year category at the 2026 International Business Awards held on October 28 at the Pullman Paris Montparnasse in Paris, France.

The award recognized DICT’s initiative, “Building a Contactless, Paperless, and Cashless Government: The DICT eGov Ecosystem,” which aims to make government services easier and more convenient for Filipinos through interconnected digital platforms.

Instead of requiring citizens to visit different government offices, submit physical documents and undergo repetitive procedures, the ecosystem enables more transactions to be completed online.

At the center of the initiative is the eGovPH Super App, which brings multiple government services into a single mobile application. According to DICT, the platform has recorded more than 67 million downloads and 1.1 billion transactions.

The ecosystem also allows government agencies to securely exchange information through eGovDX, which has integrated more than 1,700 government systems and processed over 1.1 billion transactions.

Another component, eVerify, provides digital identity verification for government and private transactions. DICT reported that the platform has processed more than 370 million verification transactions.

The government has also introduced eGovAI, which provides artificial intelligence-assisted citizen support and job matching. The platform has reached more than 10 million users and recorded over 200 million transactions.

For government transactions requiring documents and approvals, eGovDocs allows electronic processing and digital signatures. More than 48 million digital documents have been processed through the system.

The digital transformation initiative has also reached local governments through eLGU, which allows Filipinos and businesses to apply online for business, sanitary and building permits. DICT reported that the platform has been implemented in more than 1,100 local government units.

These platforms form part of the government’s effort to make public services available to Filipinos regardless of their location, reducing dependence on physical government offices and paper-based transactions.

The Stevie Awards recognized the DICT initiative alongside government innovation projects from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The recognition marks an international milestone for the Philippines’ eGovernment program under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., which has made the digitalization of public services a government priority.

For eGovPH, the award recognizes an initiative designed to change how Filipinos interact with government, making public services easier to access through technology.
