The sweep also turned the tables on last season’s upper-bracket semifinal, when ONIC PH beat Falcons, 3-0. Falcons battled through the lower bracket afterward and eliminated ONIC PH in a 4-2 best-of-seven series.
Draft choices and team fight execution shaped the post-series discussion. Fans pointed to Falcons’ sustain-heavy lineup, which gave them staying power in extended clashes, while ONIC PH struggled to find a way through. Falcons kept up the pressure and closed out the series without giving ONIC PH a chance to rally.
ONIC PH entered the semifinal fresh from a five-game win over TNC Pro Team the previous day. Falcons, who finished second in the regular season with a 12-2 record, had earned a direct path to the upper-bracket semifinals.
The Falcons will now play for a spot in the grand final. ONIC PH must fight through the lower bracket to keep its title hopes alive. Both grand finalists will qualify for the M8 World Championship in January 2027.
