As cyber threats continue to target businesses of all sizes, Globe Business is integrating cybersecurity services into its GFiber Broadband plans in an effort to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) strengthen their digital defenses.
The company said selected GFiber Broadband plans for businesses now include free Vulnerability Assessment (VA) scans, allowing SMEs to identify potential security weaknesses in their networks, websites, and connected devices without additional cost.
The move comes as more businesses adopt digital platforms, cloud-based services, and AI-powered tools, increasing their exposure to cyber risks. According to Globe Business, cyberattacks targeting SMEs have surged by as much as 325 percent as automated systems continuously scan the internet for exploitable vulnerabilities.
In the latest installment of its “The Blueprint” series, Globe Business said cybersecurity should become a built-in component of business operations rather than a separate or optional investment.
The free Vulnerability Assessment service is bundled with GFiber Broadband plans starting at Plan 1299 and extending to Plans 1499, 1999, 2499, and 2999. Globe said the number of bundled scans increases depending on the subscription tier.
Each assessment is designed to help businesses detect security gaps before they can be exploited by cybercriminals, potentially reducing the risk of data breaches, malware infections, and service disruptions.
“No entrepreneur, regardless of their size, should have to risk their entire life’s work just because cybersecurity feels too expensive or too complicated,” said KD Dizon.
“By embedding proactive protection directly into their everyday business connection, we are helping local enterprises move past the era of basic connectivity and transition toward intelligent resilience, ensuring that as their business scales, their protection scales with it,” he added.
Globe Business said the vulnerability assessments serve three primary functions: identifying security weaknesses, reducing the risk of operational downtime, and helping organizations prioritize cybersecurity investments based on identified risks.
The service is positioned for businesses across multiple sectors, including e-commerce, retail, healthcare, financial services, legal services, and hospitality, where the protection of customer information and business-critical systems has become increasingly important.
The initiative reflects a broader trend in the telecommunications industry, where connectivity providers are expanding beyond traditional internet services and incorporating cybersecurity tools into their business offerings as cyber threats continue to evolve.
Globe Business said it aims to help SMEs establish more secure digital foundations while supporting their adoption of digital technologies and online services.
