UnionBank of the Philippines is expanding access to cash deposit services by allowing customers to deposit funds through more than 2,100 ECPay kiosks nationwide, giving users more flexible banking options beyond traditional branches and ATMs.
The bank said the initiative is designed to make cash deposits more accessible for customers who may live or work far from physical bank branches, including small business owners, freelancers, and individuals who regularly handle cash transactions.
Through the partnership, UnionBank customers can deposit cash into peso savings and checking accounts using ECPay kiosks located in convenience stores, groceries, malls, and community centers, including establishments such as Alfamart, Puregold, Lawson, O! Save, and Puremart.
UnionBank Chief Marketing & Experience Officer Albert Raymond C. Cuadrante said the service was developed to match the changing banking habits and daily routines of customers.
“UnionBank continues to design services around how our customers live and work today,” Cuadrante said.
“With ECPay kiosks, we expand access to cash deposit services and provide greater convenience—so banking services are easier to reach as part of customers’ everyday routines,” he added.
One of the key features of the service is realtime posting, allowing deposited funds to reflect instantly in customer accounts. This enables users to immediately use the funds for bills payment, fund transfers, online purchases, and other transactions without waiting for standard banking processing periods.
[ECPay](https://www.ecpay.com.ph?utm_source=chatgpt.com) President and CEO Patricia D. Pascual said the partnership aims to bring essential financial services closer to more Filipinos nationwide.
“Our partnership with UnionBank reinforces ECPay’s commitment to bringing essential financial services closer to Filipinos. By making cash deposits available at thousands of kiosks nationwide, we help customers maximize their precious time and manage their money more conveniently—any day, anytime,” Pascual said.
UnionBank said the deposit process was designed to remain simple and user-friendly, including for first-time users. Customers may deposit up to ₱10,000 per transaction through participating ECPay kiosks.
The bank added that the initiative complements its existing branch and ATM network while helping extend banking access into more everyday locations as part of its broader digital banking expansion efforts.
UnionBank is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, while deposits are insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation up to ₱1 million.
