Scam Watch Pilipinas, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Roosevelt, conducted an anti-scam awareness seminar for senior citizens in Barangay Sta. Teresita, Quezon City, on September 30, educating residents on how to recognize and avoid online scams.

TechWatch PH Associate Editor and Scam Watch Pilipinas Lead Volunteer Watcher Sonny Daanoy led the discussion, introducing participants to the organization’s KontraScam Attitude, which promotes four key attitudes against online scams: Magdamot, Magduda, Mang-Snob, at Magsumbong sa 1326, the national anti-scam hotline.
Daanoy emphasized the importance of adopting these attitudes when dealing with suspicious messages, fraudulent offers, and requests for personal or financial information.

Mang-Snob encourages them to ignore strangers online, while Magsumbong emphasizes reporting suspected scams through National Anti-Scam Hotline 1326 of Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC).
Meanwhile, Rotary Club of Roosevelt Legacy President Mhey Aldovino emphasized the importance of equipping senior citizens with practical knowledge to protect themselves against online fraud.

The activity, dubbed βMag-Isip Muna Bago Mag-Click,β was organized by the Rotary Club of Roosevelt.
Through the initiative, Rotary Club of Roosevelt aimed to strengthen online scam awareness among senior citizens and encourage them to practice caution when using digital platforms.
