Globe Telecom’s wired broadband subscriber base grew 32 percent year on year to more than two million in the first half of 2026, driven by households shifting from legacy fixed wireless services to fiber connections.
The company said Globe AT HOME generated ₱12.4 billion in broadband revenue during the period, a six percent increase from a year earlier. Fiber services accounted for 93 percent of the total.
GFiber Prepaid emerged as a major growth driver, reaching 1.1 million subscribers by the end of June. Globe also reported increased spending on higher-value reloads, indicating stronger customer engagement with its prepaid fiber service.
The product targets households seeking home internet without the contracts and recurring monthly bills typically associated with postpaid broadband plans.
“As more customers choose fiber for a better home connectivity experience, Globe AT HOME continues its growth trajectory, reflecting the trust placed in our services,” said Abigail Cardino, vice president and head of Globe’s broadband business.
Globe attributed the expansion to continuing demand for stable connections supporting remote work, online education, entertainment and other digital services. Growth in wired subscriptions more than offset the decline in its older fixed wireless customer base, the company said.
The telecommunications provider also cited network assessments from Ookla and the Department of Information and Communications Technology. Globe AT HOME received recognition from Ookla for network consistency, while the DICT’s Oplan Bantay Signal gave its broadband service a rating of 90.34.
Globe said it would continue investing in fiber infrastructure and services as more Filipino households move toward faster and more reliable fixed broadband connections.
