After a long-awaited return of Formula 1 following the summer break, six teams arrived at the Dutch Grand Prix with technical upgrades as they look to improve their cars for the second half of the 2026 season.
The FΓ©dΓ©ration Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) shared details of the upgrades ahead of the race weekend at Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands.
Ferrari introduced performance-focused changes to the floor body, floor board and edge, diffuser, and beam wing.
McLaren, meanwhile, brought upgrades to its rear wing, engine cover, and rear corner, with all three changes aimed at improving performance.
Mercedes made a change to the front corner of its car. According to the FIA, the modification was designed for performance. The team adjusted its front brake assembly, including changes intended to improve airflow toward the rear of the car.
Aston Martin introduced one of the larger upgrade packages for the weekend, making performance changes to two front wing components, the front wing endplate, floor fences, and diffuser.
Alpine also brought several performance upgrades, covering the floor body, board and edge, diffuser, sidepod, rear impact structure, and rear corner and wing.
Red Bull Racing’s update, meanwhile, focused on reliability rather than outright performance. The team made a small change to the front corner of the RB22, modifying the wishbone shroud and wheel gaiter to reduce strain at high steering angles.
The upgrades come as Formula 1 resumes its 2026 campaign following the summer break.
The Dutch Grand Prix will take place later Sunday, Aug. 23, at Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands, with the race set for 9 p.m. Philippine time.
