Telegram no longer available on Apple’s App Store

Telegram has disappeared from Apple’s App Store, preventing iPhone and iPad users from searching for or downloading the encrypted messaging application.

Checks conducted by TechWatch PH on Tuesday, Aug. 4, confirmed that Telegram was no longer visible on the App Store. Existing users who already have the app installed can still access the service, but new downloads and app updates appear to be unavailable.

Apple has yet to issue an official statement regarding Telegram’s disappearance from the App Store. Telegram has also not publicly commented on the matter.

The reason behind the app’s absence remains unclear.

Users who already have Telegram installed continue to report that the app is functioning normally.
