VITRO Inc. said its VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) facility has achieved TIA-942 Rated 3 Facility Certification, marking a key milestone for the Philippines’ growing data center and digital infrastructure sector.
The certification, issued following an audit by EPI (Enterprise Products Integration), confirms that the Laguna-based facility meets globally recognized standards for concurrently maintainable data centers, with no single point of failure across critical systems.
VSR was inaugurated in April 2025 and is positioned as the country’s first AI-ready hyperscale data center. The 50-megawatt site is located within Laguna’s emerging technology corridor and is designed to support mission-critical workloads for enterprises, hyperscalers, AI platforms, and government services. It operates as a carrier-neutral facility and is connected to both domestic fiber networks and international submarine cable systems.
The TIA-942 standard, developed by the Telecommunications Industry Association, is widely used as a benchmark for data center design, covering infrastructure resilience, security, and connectivity. A Rated 3 certification indicates that key systems can undergo maintenance or upgrades without interrupting operations, supported by built-in redundancy across power, cooling, and network components.
“This certification is a testament to VITRO’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that global enterprises and hyperscalers can trust. VSR was designed from the ground up to meet the most exacting international standards,” said Victor S. Genuino, President and CEO of ePLDT and VITRO Inc.
VITRO said its facilities, including VSR, are engineered to sustain at least 72 hours of continuous operations through on-site generators and fuel reserves, aimed at ensuring business continuity during outages or disruptions.
The development comes as demand for hyperscale and AI-ready infrastructure continues to rise across Southeast Asia, with operators expanding capacity to support cloud computing, data-intensive applications, and digital services.
With the certification in place, VITRO Santa Rosa is positioned to support the Philippines’ push to attract more digital investments and strengthen its role in the regional data center landscape.
