Globe strengthened its commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovators by bringing together students, educators, and industry leaders at Innovania 2025: The Builder’s Blueprint – Student Discovery, a large-scale event held simultaneously across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The nationwide platform provided STEM learners with the chance to showcase creativity, explore real-world applications of technology, and engage with professionals from the engineering and tech industries.
Focused on Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) and Computer Engineering students, the program highlighted how digital solutions can contribute to national progress and community development.
“By providing a platform for student ideas to flourish and go for their dreams, we are investing in the country’s next generation of technology leaders,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer at Globe.
More than 100 students from 19 universities joined the two-day event, participating in sessions on 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), and gamification, followed by an Ideathon where teams pitched innovative solutions to real challenges.
Winning groups received Cubikits and mentorship from Cubicore to further develop their projects.
Beyond the competition, participants were introduced to immersive opportunities such as internships, volunteer programs, and guided tours of Globe facilities, offering students a first-hand look at how large-scale digital operations drive innovation.
Carl Rowan, Co-Founder of Cubicore, emphasized the event’s impact: “Globe Innovania 2025 allowed us to fulfill our mission to evangelize IoT technology to Filipino youth. This is a crucial step in inspiring students to innovate by deploying real IoT solutions created by themselves.”
Standout student teams came from De La Salle University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and the University of Santo Tomas, earning recognition for their creativity and commitment to community solutions.
By bridging academia and industry, Innovania 2025 demonstrated the importance of collaboration in strengthening the Philippines’ future talent pipeline. The program equips future engineers with the exposure and skills needed to thrive in the digital economy, while encouraging students to push boundaries and transform bold ideas into real-world impact.
