Tech brand Vivo has introduced its latest wearable device, the Watch GT, marking its entry into the local smartwatch market.

The release comes at a time when more Filipinos are turning to wearable technology for fitness tracking and health monitoring.

The Watch GT offers features commonly found in more expensive models, including continuous heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking, and menstrual cycle tracking.

It also supports more than 100 sports modes, ranging from running and swimming to racket sports like badminton, tennis, and squash. Some activities come with specialized tracking metrics such as swing count, stroke type, and motion streaks — features often limited to fitness-focused wearables in higher price tiers.

The highlight of the Watch GT is its battery life. Vivo claims the device can run for up to 21 days on a single charge, significantly longer than the typical two to three days offered by most smartwatches in its category.

The device also includes gentle reminders to encourage movement throughout the day, helping users meet personal fitness goals.

Two variants of the Watch GT are now available in the Philippines. The Summer Black version features a soft rubber strap, while the Cloud White model comes with a leather band.

Prices start at P 7,599 and the watches can be purchased from vivo stores and official online channels.

The release positions vivo among a growing list of smartphone companies expanding into the wearables space.

As consumers continue to look for health-focused, low-maintenance devices, the Watch GT enters a competitive field that includes offerings from other tech brands in the bussiness.
