YouTube is introducing a redesigned homepage experience that allows users to create personalized video feeds based on their interests, moods, and preferred content, alongside a simplified navigation bar for easier access to the platform's services.
In an update shared on Friday, October 23, the Google-owned video platform showcased its refreshed interface, highlighting a new feature called Custom Feeds that gives viewers greater control over the videos recommended on their homepage.
Unlike conventional searches that rely on specific keywords, Custom Feeds allows users to describe the type of content they want to watch, including particular topics, activities, or moods.
For example, viewers can create feeds dedicated to technology news, gaming, documentaries, educational videos, or relaxing content, with recommendations automatically refreshed as new videos become available.
Users can also save multiple custom feeds and add, edit, or remove them from the homepage's top navigation bar.
The redesign introduces a simplified top bar that provides quick access to subscriptions and other YouTube services, including Movies & TV, Live, and Music.
Based on the interface preview shared by YouTube, the updated navigation places frequently used sections near the top of the screen, allowing viewers to switch between content categories without navigating through multiple menus.
The company also demonstrated how custom feeds would appear alongside existing content recommendations, giving users separate spaces for different viewing interests.
The feature was initially announced during the Made on YouTube event on September 23, 2026, as part of the company's broader efforts to improve content discovery and personalization across its platform.
During the announcement, YouTube said users would be able to create personalized feeds using conversational prompts, with the resulting recommendations updating automatically.
The company previously identified the United States as the initial market for Custom Feeds, with availability planned across mobile devices, desktop browsers, and television platforms.
YouTube has not confirmed a specific release date for the Philippines or announced when the redesigned homepage and Custom Feeds will become available to all Filipino users.
The latest preview provides a closer look at how the redesigned interface and personalized content discovery features will work once available.
