Introduced in the Philippines on October 23, the tablet is designed for users who enjoy watching movies, listening to music, and switching between entertainment and productivity throughout the day. The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 features a JBL-engineered nine-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, offering clearer dialogue, deeper bass, and a more immersive audio experience. It also has a built-in Bluetooth speaker mode, allowing users to connect their smartphones and play music or podcasts through the tablet's speakers. Users can choose between Dynamic, Movie, and Music audio modes depending on what they are listening to. “Entertainment today isn’t tied to a single place or routine,” said Tony Chen, Vice President of Tablets, Intelligent Devices Group at Lenovo. “People are moving seamlessly between work, travel, and downtime, and they expect their devices to move just as naturally with them. With the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, we created a device that keeps up with that rhythm, giving users the freedom to enjoy content on their terms.” Watch hands-free wherever you are One of the tablet's features is its built-in 360-degree rotating kickstand, allowing users to position the device in portrait or landscape mode without needing a separate stand. Whether watching movies in bed, following recipes in the kitchen, or streaming videos while traveling, users can adjust the tablet to their preferred viewing angle. The device supports lean, theater, stand, and hanging modes. It also features a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10 support. With brightness reaching up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode, Lenovo said the screen is designed to remain visible even in bright environments. When not in use, the tablet can also function as a digital picture frame through its built-in standby mode. AI features for everyday use Aside from entertainment, the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 includes AI-powered features designed to assist users with reading, note-taking, and understanding content. Its Lenovo AI Live Transcript feature supports real-time translation, which could help users follow videos presented in different languages. Meanwhile, Lenovo Smarter Reader supports reading and content navigation, while AI Notes with Lenovo Notepad helps users organize their notes. The tablet runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor with Android 16. Lenovo said the device is expected to receive operating system upgrades through Android 18 and security updates until 2030. More time watching, less time charging The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is equipped with a 10,200mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 15 hours of YouTube video streaming. It also supports 45W fast charging. Other features include an 8-megapixel front camera, a 13-megapixel rear camera, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and expandable storage of up to 2TB through a microSD card.
