Malacañang has accepted the resignation of Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Aguda, according to Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla.
Remulla revealed the development during the DZRH Executive Session program on Saturday, October 10, confirming earlier reports surrounding Aguda’s departure from the department.
As of writing, Malacañang has yet to issue a separate official announcement confirming Remulla’s statement or naming Aguda’s successor.
Days before the revelation , lawyer Jesus Falcis raised the issue in a Facebook post, claiming that Aguda had already submitted his resignation letter to Malacañang and that the document was with the Presidential Management Staff (PMS).
This also comes four days after TechWatch PH reported on October 6, citing multiple sources familiar with the matter, that Aguda had submitted his resignation.
