VST ECS Phils., Inc. has expanded its enterprise technology portfolio through a new partnership with Akamai Technologies, bringing a wider range of cybersecurity and cloud solutions to its channel partners and customers in the Philippines.

The partnership adds Akamai’s security technologies to VST ECS’ enterprise portfolio as organizations increasingly rely on cloud environments, digital platforms, application programming interfaces (APIs), and connected applications.

Under the partnership, VST ECS will offer solutions covering application and API security, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection, Zero Trust security, microsegmentation, bot protection, Domain Name System (DNS) security, and cloud security.

VST ECS said the expanded portfolio is intended to support organizations across several industries, including banking and financial services, retail and e-commerce, government, telecommunications, healthcare, and business process outsourcing.

For banks and financial institutions, the technologies can be used to protect digital banking platforms and APIs, while retail and e-commerce companies can deploy them to safeguard online transactions and manage malicious bot activity.

Government and public-sector organizations can also use the solutions to strengthen the resilience of citizen-facing digital services. Meanwhile, enterprises operating hybrid and multicloud environments can use Zero Trust and microsegmentation capabilities to strengthen access controls and limit the movement of threats across critical systems.

“Cybersecurity has become a fundamental business priority as organizations become increasingly dependent on digital platforms, cloud environments, and connected applications,” said Jimmy Go, President and CEO of VST ECS Phils., Inc.

“Our partnership with Akamai gives our customers and partners access to technologies that can help protect critical digital assets, strengthen cyber resilience, and support the secure growth of their businesses,” he added.

The partnership will also make Akamai’s cybersecurity portfolio available to more organizations through VST ECS’ network of channel partners in the country.

Akamai Regional Sales Director Gordon Woo said strengthening the company’s partnership with VST ECS forms part of its efforts to expand its reach and support for customers and partners in the Philippines.

“With organizations facing an increasingly complex security landscape, our channel ecosystem plays an important role in helping customers protect their applications, APIs, infrastructure, and digital experiences,” Woo said.

The partnership comes as businesses increasingly integrate cloud services and connected applications into their operations, expanding the number of digital systems and services that organizations need to secure.
