Globe has partnered with e& Carrier & Wholesale Services (C&WS) to deploy artificial intelligence-powered security technology aimed at detecting fraud and improving the reliability of international voice calls.

The partnership will integrate an advanced voice firewall into Globe’s network, allowing the telecommunications company to monitor international call traffic in real time and identify potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

The system will use AI-based detection tools and analytics to help protect Globe’s network from voice fraud, including unauthorized traffic termination and suspicious call-routing activity.

Globe said the collaboration is expected to improve the quality, security, and reliability of its international direct dialing services for subscribers, businesses, and telecommunications partners.

The initiative is also expected to support overseas Filipino workers and their families who rely on international voice services, particularly those based in the Middle East, where e& has an established network presence.

β€œThis partnership marks an important step in strengthening Globe’s international voice business for the future,” Globe Chief Commercial Officer Darius Delgado said.

β€œBy combining Globe’s strong local market position with e&’s global reach and expertise, we are enhancing the security, quality, and reliability of international voice services for our partners and customers,” he added.

Delgado said the partnership would also provide a foundation for further innovation and collaboration in international telecommunications.

Under the agreement, e& will provide Globe with access to its international voice network, routing expertise, security capabilities, and real-time monitoring technology.

β€œThe agreement brings together Globe’s market reach with our international voice network, routing expertise and security capabilities,” e& Group Chief Carrier and Wholesale Officer Nabil Baccouche said.

β€œIt will provide carrier partners with a secure and efficient route to the Globe network, supported by real-time monitoring and AI-enabled fraud detection,” he added.

Baccouche said the companies would work to protect international voice traffic and improve service quality as security threats and connectivity requirements continue to evolve.

For telecommunications carriers, the partnership is expected to provide a more transparent framework for handling international voice traffic through improved analytics and fraud protection.

Globe said the agreement forms part of its efforts to develop a more secure international connectivity network for customers and global carrier partners.
