GoreBox now blocked in PH, even offline

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) said the temporary blocking of GoreBox in the Philippines now covers offline access, with the R-18 sandbox video game no longer working even without an internet connection.

In a public advisory, the CICC said “GoreBox no longer works, even offline.”

The agency also clarified that GoreBox is the only game currently covered by the temporary blocking order.

“Ang GoreBox sandbox R-18 video game lamang ang nakablock pansamantala sa bansa,” the CICC said.

The advisory showed that GoreBox no longer appears in Steam search results, while Google Play also marks the app as unavailable.

The update comes amid continuing discussions on online game regulation, child safety, and concerns over violent content accessible to minors.

The CICC earlier pushed for the temporary blocking of GoreBox as authorities review the game and its possible impact on young users.
