UPDATE: The incident appears to be far from over

As reported by Deep Web Konek, the Philippine Senate website appears to have suffered a second compromise just hours after the initial defacement attributed to NullSec Philippines.

Several unauthorized posts were found in the Senate’s News Release section, including entries titled “Angelica ;pp,” “Ashley & Angelica,” and “Angelica X Ashley, please patch your system ;pp.” The posts contained content unrelated to official government business and were displayed alongside legitimate Senate news releases.

The latest incident has been linked online to a threat actor identifying as SentinelX, which published a statement criticizing the Senate’s cybersecurity posture and claiming weaknesses in the website’s security controls. Notably, the unauthorized posts remained publicly accessible as of this writing despite reports that the Senate website had already been placed under maintenance following the earlier defacement.

This raises a more important question: Is this simply another website defacement, or evidence of a deeper compromise? The visible messages are only the symptoms. The real concern is whether attackers gained broader access to systems, content management tools, databases, or other digital assets. Until a forensic investigation is completed, the full extent of the incident remains unknown.
