DITO Telecommunity is strengthening its engagement with digital communities through music, serving as the official telecommunications sponsor of Sandali: The Cup of Joe Fest, the landmark outdoor concert headlined by OPM band Cup of Joe.
Held at the Philippine Sports Stadium, the event drew thousands of fans and marked the band’s biggest live undertaking to date, highlighting the growing influence of Filipino artists and the communities that support them both online and offline.
DITO said the partnership reflects its broader strategy of supporting platforms where digital communities gather, connect, and share common interests.
“Supporting Filipino talent has long been part of DITO’s broader brand story,” said Miriam Choa, deputy chief revenue officer of DITO Telecommunity.
“From celebrating rising local artists through campaigns like Galing DITO, to partnering with globally recognized esports organizations like Team Liquid, DITO has consistently chosen to show up in the spaces where passion, creativity, and community thrive. Our support for Sandali: The Cup of Joe Fest is a natural extension of that commitment,” she said.
The sponsorship comes as telecommunications companies continue exploring new ways to connect with consumers beyond traditional services, including through music, gaming, and other community-driven experiences.
Cup of Joe has emerged as one of the most influential acts in the local music scene, building a strong following among younger audiences through its music and social media presence.
DITO said initiatives such as the Cup of Joe Fest partnership form part of its efforts to expand its presence in platforms that reflect the evolving interests and digital lifestyles of the communities it serves.
