DICT restores Official Gazette, PCO websites after temporary access disruption

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said the websites of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and the Official Gazette have been restored following a temporary access disruption.

In a statement released Wednesday, May 20, the DICT said the issue was first reported at around 3 p.m. on May 19 after both government websites became temporarily inaccessible to the public.

Technical teams were immediately deployed to assess the situation and begin restoration procedures.

β€œAs of 12:28 AM today, May 20, 2026, continuous monitoring indicates that both the Official Gazette and the PCO website have been fully restored and are currently accessible to the public,” the DICT said.

The agency, however, noted that some users may still experience slower-than-usual page loading times as system optimization efforts continue.

DICT said its National Computer Emergency Response Team (NCERT) is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident and is preparing the necessary audit logs to determine the cause of the disruption.

According to the agency, DICT-NCERT is coordinating with the PCO to verify whether the earlier downtime was caused by scheduled maintenance, configuration updates, intentional administrative actions, or possible external factors.

The department added that further updates will be released once more verified information becomes available.

The temporary disruption affected access to two of the government’s primary online information platforms, with the Official Gazette serving as the official repository of government issuances, laws, proclamations, and executive orders.
