HUAWEI has officially introduced the new HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series, positioning the wearable as a next-generation smartwatch focused on advanced health management, accurate sports tracking, and AI-powered personalized coaching ahead of its Philippine launch on May 22.

The company said the new smartwatch lineup combines lightweight premium materials with enhanced wellness monitoring technologies aimed at helping users better manage their daily health and fitness routines.

Leading the lineup is the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro, which features a 1.92-inch 2.5D sapphire glass display protected by a titanium alloy bezel while weighing only 30.4 grams. The white edition also introduces Aerospace-Grade Nanoceramic material designed to improve scratch and wear resistance for outdoor and everyday use.

HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series Advanced Health Management

A major focus of the new smartwatch series is advanced health management.

According to Huawei, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series supports continuous pulse wave arrhythmia analysis that may help identify hidden risks such as premature heartbeats. It also includes women’s health management features powered by temperature sensors capable of predicting menstrual cycle trends.

Huawei said the Pro model further expands these capabilities through its ECG application, which the company described as turning the smartwatch into an “on-wrist stethoscope.”

The company also introduced what it called an industry-first Diabetes Risk Study feature. The non-invasive system uses PPG-based vascular signal analysis combined with sleep and vital sign monitoring over a three- to 14-day period to evaluate possible metabolic risks during asymptomatic stages. Huawei said the feature aims to help users become more aware of potential health risks early and encourage proactive lifestyle adjustments or medical consultation.

HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series Advanced Sports Experience

Huawei clarified that the smartwatch and its monitoring tools are not medical devices and that collected data should only be used for reference rather than medical diagnosis or treatment.

Beyond health monitoring, the smartwatch also expands its sports and outdoor tracking capabilities.

Huawei said the Pro version supports trail running, cycling, golf, freediving up to 40 meters, and pickleball. Through the PickleX application, the smartwatch can automatically track metrics such as racket swings, forehand and backhand shots, heart rate, and calories burned.

The wearable also introduces a “mini-workout” feature designed for users with limited time. Guided by an interactive panda animation on the watch face, users can perform short exercises targeting neck, shoulder, and back stiffness even while seated at home or in the office. Huawei added that the smartwatch supports more than 100 sports modes.

Huawei said the smartwatch series will become available in the Philippines beginning May 22, with early-bird promotions already rolling out across Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and the official Huawei Online Store.

Customers purchasing during the first sale period from May 22 to June 21 will also receive bundled freebies and subscription perks, including extended warranties, access to HUAWEI Health+, Watch Face VIP subscriptions, and selected third-party fitness applications such as Komoot and FiiT.

Huawei said the launch forms part of its continuing push to expand its smart wearable ecosystem globally and in the Philippines.
