Buy a smartphone, drive home a Mercedes-Benz? HONOR 600 Series launch stirs buzz in PH tech scene
- HONOR, Mercedes-Benz
HONOR is once again making noise in the Philippine smartphone market after officially launching the new HONOR 600 Series alongside one of its biggest pre-order campaigns yet — a chance to win a brand-new Mercedes-Benz EQA 250.
The promo, which runs until May 29, immediately generated online attention as HONOR continues its aggressive push in the local premium smartphone segment following earlier high-profile giveaways tied to previous device launches.
But beyond the luxury EV giveaway, the HONOR 600 Series itself arrives packed with flagship-grade specifications and heavy AI integration aimed at content creators, mobile photographers, and power users.
At the center of the lineup is the HONOR 600 Pro, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset built on a 3nm process, while the standard HONOR 600 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. HONOR claims the Pro delivers up to 45 percent CPU gains and 44 percent GPU improvements for gaming, multitasking, and AI workloads.
The HONOR 600 Series features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8,000 nits peak brightness, 458ppi pixel density, 3,840Hz risk-free dimming technology, and support for 1.07 billion colors. HONOR said the display is designed to maintain outdoor visibility while also reducing eye strain during extended use.
For photography, HONOR equipped the lineup with a 200MP Ultra-clear Night Camera using a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and AI-powered imaging enhancements under its AiMAGE architecture. The system supports 16-in-1 pixel binning with a 2.24μm equivalent super pixel size to improve low-light performance and detail retention. The phones also include a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a dedicated color temperature sensor, and a 50MP front-facing camera, while the HONOR 600 Pro adds a 50MP 3.5x Periscope Telephoto Camera capable of up to 120x zoom.
The company is also heavily pushing AI-powered editing and creative tools across the lineup. These include AI Image to Video 2.0, which allows users to generate cinematic short-form videos from images using natural language prompts, alongside AI Photos Agent, AI Enhance Night Photography, AI Super Zoom 2.0, SuperMoon 2.0, Moving Photo Eraser, and Moving Photo Breakout Collage features.
One of the biggest hardware highlights is the massive 7,000mAh battery, which HONOR said is the largest battery ever used in its Number Series lineup. Despite the capacity, the company claims the phones maintain a slim flagship-style body through integrated cold-carving craftsmanship and advanced battery stacking technology. HONOR added that the devices support 80W wired HONOR SuperCharge, 50W wireless charging on the Pro model, and 27W reverse wired charging that can even support iPhones.
Durability is also a major focus for the series, with the phones carrying IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings alongside SGS 5-star Premium Performance Certification for drop and crush protection.
HONOR said the HONOR 600 5G is priced at ₱25,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, ₱32,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and ₱37,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version. Meanwhile, the HONOR 600 Pro with 12GB + 512GB storage is priced at ₱49,999.
Customers who pre-order from May 14 to 29 will receive free accessories including a HONOR Gift Box and HONOR Choice Earbuds Clip, while also earning a raffle entry for the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 giveaway.
