LG rolls out AI-powered washer dryer combo built for summer-ready laundry care

LG Electronics Philippines has introduced a new front load washer dryer combo designed to meet the demands of everyday laundry, particularly during the summer season when clothing use tends to increase.

The company unveiled its 15/8KG Slim Front Load Combo Washer Dryer (F2515RNEG), integrating artificial intelligence, steam hygiene, and smart connectivity into a compact, space-saving appliance aimed at modern households.

At the core of the device is LG’s AI Direct Drive technology, which detects fabric characteristics and automatically adjusts washing motions to reduce wear while maintaining cleaning performance. The feature is positioned to address common concerns around fabric care, especially for frequently used items such as activewear and daily clothing.

To support faster laundry cycles, the unit is equipped with TurboWash 360, enabling a full wash in as fast as 39 minutes. This is paired with Steam technology, which helps reduce up to 99.9 percent of dust mites that may cause allergies, offering an added layer of hygiene for garments and household fabrics.

The washer dryer also uses an Inverter Direct Drive motor, designed to deliver stable operation while minimizing mechanical components such as belts and pulleys, which are typically associated with wear over time.

From a design standpoint, LG highlighted the unit’s slimmer body paired with a spacious drum, allowing for up to 125mm of additional space savings without compromising load capacity. This positions the appliance for urban homes where space efficiency is a priority.

The model also integrates with LG ThinQ, the company’s smart home platform, allowing users to monitor laundry cycles, download additional settings, and track energy usage remotely through connected devices.

For pet owners, the washer dryer includes a dedicated Pet Care Cycle, designed to handle heavily soiled items while helping reduce up to 99 percent of pet odors through high-temperature washing and warm rinsing.

According to Changhee Doh, Product Director for Home Solutions at LG Electronics Philippines, the product is designed to align with seasonal lifestyle changes.

“Summer often means more movement, whether it’s spending time outdoors, traveling, or simply keeping up with everyday routines in warmer weather. With the LG Front Load AI Combo Washer Dryer, we designed a solution that helps simplify clothing care, so users can spend less time worrying about laundry and more time enjoying the season,” Doh said.

The washer dryer is now available through LG’s online brand shop and authorized dealers nationwide.
