LG redefines top load washing with smarter cleaning and fabric care

The LG Electronics is introducing a new approach to top load washing by combining powerful cleaning performance with fabric-conscious care through technologies such as Smart Motion, TurboDrum™, and the Smart Inverter Motor.
Laundry is part of everyday life in many households—from school uniforms and workwear to everyday clothing. LG designed its Top Load Washing Machines to handle these routine loads while balancing cleaning strength with gentler treatment for fabrics.
Instead of relying purely on stronger water force, LG’s approach centers on intelligent motion inside the washer drum. Through Smart Motion, the washing machine uses multiple motion patterns to help remove dirt more effectively while minimizing tangling and fabric stress.
This system works together with TurboDrum™ technology, which rotates the drum and pulsator in opposite directions. The motion improves water circulation and lifting action inside the washer, allowing detergent and water to penetrate fabrics more effectively for deeper cleaning.
Chang Hee Doh, Product Director for Home Solutions at LG Electronics Philippines, said the goal is to bring more intelligence into everyday home appliances.
“We believe cleaning is better when it’s intelligent. With our Top Load Washing Machines, power is guided by care — delivering thorough cleaning while helping protect everyday clothes,” Doh said.
The washers are powered by LG’s Smart Inverter Motor, designed to support quieter operation and longer durability while improving energy efficiency. According to LG, the system can deliver up to 36 percent energy savings, helping households manage electricity consumption while maintaining consistent washing performance.
LG is currently highlighting three Top Load models available in the Philippines. The T2185VBTM (8.5kg) model is available through LG’s official online store, while the T2185VBTB (8.5kg) variant is available exclusively through SM Appliance stores. The T2109VBTB (9kg) model is available through Abenson.
With these models, LG continues to focus on washing technologies that combine cleaning strength with gentler fabric care, designed for everyday household laundry needs.
