Lenovo unveils adaptive AI ecosystem at MWC 2026, debuts Lenovo Qira and Next-Gen PC concepts

Lenovo introduced a new generation of adaptive artificial intelligence-powered devices and concept technologies at Mobile World Congress 2026, highlighting how AI is reshaping personal computing across multiple device categories.

At the center of the announcement is Lenovo Qira, a system-level ambient intelligence platform designed to operate seamlessly across PCs, tablets, smartphones, and wearables. The platform aims to make devices more context-aware, allowing them to adapt to users’ behavior, workflows, and environments while maintaining a consistent experience across devices.

The company said the approach reflects a shift toward more personalized and intuitive computing, where artificial intelligence operates continuously in the background to support productivity, creativity, and collaboration.

Alongside the software platform, Lenovo also showcased several concept devices that explore new form factors for AI-enabled computing. Among these was a modular AI PC concept, designed to allow users to upgrade or customize components more easily. Lenovo also demonstrated a glasses-free 3D laptop concept capable of displaying spatial content without requiring specialized eyewear, as well as a foldable gaming handheld concept built for portable high-performance gaming.

These experimental devices, Lenovo said, serve as testbeds for technologies that may influence future commercial products as AI capabilities continue to expand across personal computing hardware.

Lenovo’s commercial portfolio also received updates during the event. The company introduced new AI-ready ThinkPad models, designed to support emerging enterprise workloads that rely on on-device AI processing. The updated systems also feature improvements in repairability and serviceability, reflecting the industry’s growing focus on sustainability and device longevity.

For industrial and field applications, Lenovo also presented a new rugged tablet built to operate in demanding environments such as manufacturing, logistics, and infrastructure operations.

On the consumer side, Lenovo expanded its Yoga, IdeaPad, and Legion lineups with new devices designed to support AI-powered features such as productivity assistance, intelligent performance management, and enhanced multimedia experiences.

The announcements come as device manufacturers increasingly integrate AI capabilities directly into hardware and operating environments, enabling more responsive and personalized computing experiences without relying solely on cloud-based processing.
