Globe Prepaid expands Unli 5G access with free upgrade on Go+ promos

As mobile data consumption continues to surge across the country, Globe Telecom is doubling down on its push to make high-speed connectivity more accessible to prepaid users. 

Starting today, subscribers availing of Go+ promos beginning at Go+149 will now enjoy free Unlimited 5G access, replacing the previous 8GB 5G allocation.

The move positions Globe Prepaid squarely toward so-called “data-savvy” users—digital natives who rely on stable, high-speed connections for streaming, online gaming, and productivity on the go. By integrating Unli 5G into its Go+ lineup, Globe is not only rewarding heavy prepaid users but also raising the bar for value-driven 5G services in the Philippine market.

The expanded offer also reflects the direction of national connectivity initiatives, with Globe aligning its strategy toward making next-generation internet services more affordable and widely used. Recognized as having the country’s widest 5G network by Ookla, the company is pushing to ensure that 5G benefits are felt beyond postpaid plans and early adopters.

“Our goal has always been to lead the charge in 5G adoption by making it part of our customers’ daily consumption, not a privilege nor a luxury,” said Darius Delgado, Globe’s Chief Commercial Officer. He added that upgrading Go+149 and higher tiers with Unlimited 5G removes data cap concerns and allows prepaid users to fully explore high-speed digital experiences.

The Unli 5G upgrade applies to Go+149, Go+179, Go+250, and Go+400. Subscribers continue to receive their regular high-speed data allocation for all sites, on top of Unlimited 5G usage in areas covered by Globe’s 5G network.

According to Globe, its earlier 5G initiatives have already driven increased adoption and higher data usage in recent months, suggesting strong demand when faster services are made more accessible. “When Filipinos have access to better mobile services, they innovate, create, and connect more than ever,” said Eric Tanbauco, Head of Consumer Mobile Business at Globe, noting that the Unli 5G offer is aimed at sustaining this momentum.

Customers can register for the upgraded Go+ promos via the GlobeOne app, GCash, or by dialing *143#. To use Unlimited 5G, users must have a 5G-ready SIM, a compatible device, and be within a Globe 5G-covered area.
