The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) has unveiled Incheon’s ambition to become a full-fledged “AI City” after opening the Incheon–IFEZ Pavilion at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.

Located in the AI Zone of North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the 139-square-meter pavilion serves as IFEZ’s main platform for presenting how artificial intelligence is being embedded into urban life, industry, and culture. The showcase carries the theme “Destination Incheon — From Smart City to AI City.”

IFEZ organized the pavilion into three core zones to reflect different dimensions of city life. The AI Smart Living Zone focuses on citizen-oriented services such as mobility, safety, energy, and healthcare. The AI Innovation Hub Zone highlights industrial applications of AI across manufacturing, logistics, food, and pharmaceuticals. Meanwhile, the AI Creative City Zone demonstrates how AI is being used to shape digital content, culture, and immersive experiences.

Beyond the exhibition floor, IFEZ used CES 2026 to push international collaboration through the Global AI City Forum, where city leaders and industry experts discussed next-generation AI city strategies. A dedicated exchange session with Fairfax County explored ways to expand an existing economic development partnership, including cooperation on innovation ecosystems, startup support, and real-world technology testbeds.

IFEZ also organized a series of networking and business-matching activities aimed at generating concrete outcomes. These included CES 2026 Incheon Night, which brought together Incheon-based firms and overseas partners, as well as a Business Day program featuring one-on-one meetings with buyers, investors, and visiting delegations.

In a statement, Yoo Jeong-bok, mayor of Incheon, said: “CES 2026 is an important stage for presenting Incheon’s vision for its next growth leap—one that has led Korea’s transformation and innovation for over the past two decades—into an AI City.” He added that the city aims to establish itself as a leading global AI hub.

Details on participating companies and the full Incheon–IFEZ Pavilion program are available through the official CES IFEZ website.
