What’s in your top 10?: Spotify releases 2025 Wrapped

By TechWatch PH Staff

Spotify has rolled out Spotify Wrapped 2025, its highly anticipated annual recap that gives listeners a personalized look at the songs, artists, genres, and podcasts that defined their year.

Accessible directly through the Spotify app, Wrapped presents each user’s Top 10 tracks and artists, total minutes streamed, top genres, and listening “personality,” all displayed through animated, share-ready story cards. Users also receive a “Your Top Songs 2025” playlist that automatically compiles their most-played tracks into one on-demand soundtrack of the year.

Listening data used for Spotify Wrapped is drawn from streams recorded from January 1 until mid-November, ensuring the recap reflects nearly an entire year of listening habits.

As in past years, Wrapped is available to both free and Premium users and is designed for easy sharing across social media platforms — a feature that has helped turn the annual recap into a global online tradition, including in the Philippines where timelines quickly fill with screenshots of favorite OPM tracks, pop anthems, indie discoveries, and throwback hits.

Beyond personal highlights, Spotify Wrapped has become a cultural touchpoint for artists and fans alike. Musicians monitor trends to gauge fan engagement and geographic reach, while listeners use the feature to compare tastes, discover new music, and connect with fellow fans. What started as a simple year-end summary has evolved into one of Spotify’s most recognizable campaigns — blending music data with storytelling to capture how soundtracks shape memories across the year.

This December, the familiar question returns to timelines once more: What made it into your Top 10?
