Araneta Group probes cybersecurity incident affecting several units

The Araneta Group of Companies has confirmed it is addressing a cybersecurity incident first detected on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, which affected several of its business units.

In a statement, the group said the incident involved Araneta Center Inc., Ticketnet Inc., and PPI (Dairy Queen) Holdings Inc.

The company said it has launched an investigation with the help of international cybersecurity experts “with long experience in these matters” to determine the scope of the incident.

Response protocols have already been activated, alongside the implementation of enhanced security measures “in order to further protect our systems against threats.”

Consistent with legal requirements and industry best practices, the group said it has informed the National Privacy Commission and the Department of Trade and Industry about the situation.

“Strengthening our digital environment remains our key priority, and we are already implementing additional safeguards to reinforce our systems,” the company said, assuring the public of its commitment to protecting data belonging to customers and stakeholders.

The group added it is handling the matter “with utmost diligence and transparency,” while also encouraging the public to remain vigilant by practicing good information security habits, including keeping passwords secure and changing them regularly.

Araneta said it will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
